To The Top: My First Tournament, Part One

I recently took part in my first tournament over the board. Maybe you know how I got started on chess. My brother taught me, and I've played over the board for about 1 or 2 years before finding out about chess.com. This was my first over the board tournament, however. But it's not finished yet. I advanced all the way to the finals (Against admittedly not very stiff competition), and will soon play the finals. It will be a best of 15 games; Whoever gets 7 points first wins. There is no money prize or anything for this tournament. I did not feel super confident in my abilities and so joined a very low stakes tournament for players around my skill level (Around 800 rating), but I still feel sure I can learn a lot of lessons from the games I play.
