Ruy Lopez (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5)

Italian Game (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4)
What it is:
Another popular opening where White develops their bishop to the central square c4, similar to the Ruy Lopez.
Why it's good:
The Italian Game is known for its active development and leads to open, dynamic middlegames.
For White:
It's a strong opening that can lead to active and attacking positions.
For Black:
