Learning at 46
So for my 46th birthday (just over 3 weeks ago) I decided I wanted to learn chess properly. I think I created a free Chess.com account shortly after watching The Queen's Gambit, did a few puzzles but not much more.
This time around, I've started on the lessons. I haven't played live chess yet, just against the bots. I also recently purchased a Chessnut Air smart board which I'm loving. I've just completed all the beginner lessons and have moved on to the intermediate lessons. Some of the challenges are not always apparent to me. A bit like some of the moves I make and then realise what a mistake that was as my piece gets captured.
We'll see what improvement comes over the next few months.
