Beating a Master
Last weekend saw me play my best tournament ever so far: In a five-round event in Berlin I won my first three games, which in itself wasn't bad at all, but being paired with the top seed in the fourth round I was due for a rough landing - or so I had thought.
Not surprisingly, I emerged from the opening with a difficult position, but my opponent missed a strong continuation and suddenly my position remained fully sound. In the end of the day I had collected my first IM scalp, but didn't stop even there: In the evening round I managed to outplay a strong FM and finished with a clean 5/5, winning the whole event!
