Balancing Your Attacking Momentum Daily Puzzle Explanation 7/13/23

Hello everyone 👋. In today's daily puzzle, Balancing Your Attacking Momentum, I will give an explanation. First lets look at the position I will explain today:

In this puzzle, we can see that the queen and bishop are pointing to the castled king. Also , notice the pawn on f6. It has a very important role in this position.  Automatically, you'll probably capture the pawn on h7. After you capture that pawn, the king retreats to f7. You may bring your bishop to g6 but by doing that, black can prevent mate and capture the important pawn on f6. The correct move is bringing the queen to g6. Now the king is forced to g8 and now you can see the importance of that pawn. The queen delivers checkmate with Queen g7#. Without that pawn, white would not be able to checkmate.
