The Fool is only capable of introspection, the Fool says, "I, of all the men, am the smartest, because I know that I know nothing." The Fool is correct in the latter part of the statement. He thinks that he is Everyman, although Everyman is ignorant to this. The Fool will depart on a journey, he will return unchanged. He will seem dynamic to both himself and others; however the Fool, somehow, knows the truth. The Fool will make a record of Everyman, but he will start with his best friend and himself. The Fool will ultimately fail at this task, because he is not truly Everyman.
