!! Brilliantly Scored Now What !!

Over many games I have tried to get a brilliant move, and in goofing around and sac'ing a my rook to take a bishop, I would obtain a brilliant in the game.  In the Soller Gambit, I always get.a brilliant if I move my knight to sac the queen.  Playing now, I look at sac'ing pieces to get a brilliant, even to just open up the board.  The problem is, I usually don't have a decent plan on what I'm doing, and sometimes lose a winning position...
