Uses of bishops and knights

Bishops are usually better in the endgames as if you know how to checkmate properly with a pair of bishops,then you can checkmate.Whereas, if you try to checkmate with knights in the endgame,it is a draw.In middle games,knights are more powerful as they can easily jump over other pieces when the board is crowded.So, I hope you learnt something new today.
