Geronimo Stilton Chess situation

I like the episode "The Gem Gang" of Geronimo Stilton. As I observed on the opening scene which Geronimo is playing chess against a bot and then at the image he is checkmated. Geronimo plays black. My observations are two and ends in a checkmate. If Geronimo moves his king away from b2 to a3. The queen then moved from b1 to b4 on the side where the Rook is. or Let the king move up while the rook takes two moves to corner the king. Geronimo is angry for getting beaten by a computer and Thea said that computer cannot be beat. Unless that could happen in real life. What are your insights about it including the picture?
