Brewington Hardaway

Biography:

Brewington Hardaway is an awesome chess player who first learned how to play chess in kindergarten because his parents wanted to pick him and his sister who went to to chess club. Since then he has become one of the most talented young players on the globe. He has come to the second round of the Chesskid Speed Chess Championship, streams with chesskids FunMasterMike, got a draw with Fabiano Caruana in a simile, was the New York state champion and more! He has a lot of chance for being a top player maybe even more!

Q. When did you first learn how to play chess

Brew: I first learned how to play chess in kindergarten when I was 5.

Q: What is your favorite chess moment?

Brew: Getting a draw against Fabiano Caruana in a simul.

Q: What are some of your near time goals?

Brew: Getting 2250 and FM.

Q: What is your favorite chess book?

Brew: Attack and Defense by Mark Dvoretsky.

Q: Ok Wow, What is your favorite opening?

Brew: The Sicilian.

Q: What is your favorite chess game that you played?

Brew: My game vs GM Brandon Jacobson I was winning but I drew.


Q: Sorry, Which chess player do you admire the most?

Brew: Ian Nepomniatchi.

Q: Wow Ok, Who is your favorite world chess champion?

Brew: Magnus Carelsen.

Q: We can relate on that he is one of my favorites also. What do you do when your not playing chess?

Brew: Playing video games or playing sports like soccer and basketball. I also watch sports.

Q. What is your favorite game that you have not played?

Brew: Ian Nepomniatchi vs Wang Hao in the 2020 Canidites.

Q. Ok, What is your best chess advice to less strong players?

Brew: Study your openings a lot and do puzzles.

Q. What chess player would you must like to talk to (Dead ones count)?

Brew: Mikhal Tal.

Q. What is your favorite chess piece?

Brew: The Knight.
