The Pirc is a fun opening to play with black, as you can get you're opponents out of theory pretty quickly. Its has got to be one of my favorites.  This is an example of the golden position that you would try to achieve in the Pirc.

The Pirc, pronounced (Pee-Ertz) is opening for black created by Vasja Pirc. Vasja Pirc was a Yugoslavian chess grandmaster born December 19, 1907 and died June 2, 1980. He was a huge modernist, ( believing to close the center and fight on flanks) His opening demonstrates just that.

This is a sample game from chess games.com just copy and paste this into your hot bar. https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=2766100 This demonstrates how to close down the center and play on the flanks where you are strong.  The line I personally recommend to play is the main line where you play D6, Nf6, G6, Nd7 or Bg7 depending on what they play and the main plan of the Pirc is to shut down the center. Use the long diagonal to you're bishop's advantage,  propel the e or c pawn with the d6 pawn and then play on the Queen side. With this knowledge in mind now, try out this opening or watch this Youtube video to find out more about the Pirc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqjmQS3yJsk
