First Off - Get The Bull Out The Way

I think at some point I started solving more tactics than actually playing anybody. 6000+ tactics solved, Guinness World Record, I learned a lot over the course of that time, and went from struggling with -1200 rated tactics to solving 2100+ rated problems. I learned to think deep and think fast, and my ratings never stopped thanking me for it.

Anyway, the first thing I started doing after reverting to a free account was find ways to continue the premium experience, ways to get the best out of every login session. Today I'm still doing unlimited puzzles, and I'm doing it by converting my blitz games into tactic training.
Time is always an issue for chess enthusiasts. Even though they created special clocks just for us 
chess players, we still don't have enough time. We can barely fit a 30|0 rapid game into our busy schedules. On most days we don't have time for the lessons and tactics we need to improve. In the end, we settle for long daily tournaments we barely have the attention span to keep up with, and somewhere down the line we forget how to play normal classic chess OTB-style. It's a downward spiral.

The 1 & only rule: 90% of my games are won by #checkmate or #whiteflag. That's where the secret lies. I don't play to win on time, and I don't play trick chess, not if I plan on improving. Every time I start a game I say 3 minutes to checkmate. I play through every 3|0 blitz game as I would any daily or rapid game.
