This checkmate thing, doesn't the king have a right to fight back when cornered? I lost two games under the impression that the king can fight back and take pieces in places next to it as it would when playing ordinarily. What kind of a king that doesn't fight when in tight corners? Next time I'll know better. I'll disorganise my next opponent's king even before they close to doing anything to me.
