Attacking With The King?!
Hello chess friends!
In this article I'd like to investigate the question 'When should we attack with the king and when should we hide it?'.
First let me show you an example where the answer is obvious. You definitely shouldn't endanger your king in the middle game, should you?!
Well, I have started with the exception. The king is usually in danger in the middle of the board even if the queens have already been exchanged. However you should not be lazy: punishing the opponent's bravery usually requires precise calculation.
I would like to show you one of my games where I failed to find the correct moves and gave my opponent chances to save the game.
In summary we have seen an example where it was worth going on an adventure with the king and an example where it wasn't.
Sometimes it is difficult to decide between the safe and the risky option. To make it easier next week I'll publish another article, in which I tell you a useful and simple rule and show you a couple of additional examples.
