2016 ChessKid Online National Invitational Championships (CONIC)
EVENT INFORMATION
NEW DATES CONFIRMED: The 2016 CONIC will be held on the weekend of June 3-5, 2016. We intend to keep most of the same standards from previous years. These include:
Use of the January 2016 Top 100 lists for ratings qualification. These ratings were deteremined on December 15th and published on January 15th. Please look to see your players' rating among the lists of eligible players within his or her section:
Five (5) sections of six (6) players each:
Ages 6 & Under, 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, Girls 13 & Under.
Qualification age as of January 1st, 2016.
Time control: Game in 90 minutes with a 30-second increment each move.
No takebacks for mouse-slips during games.
Rounds:
Friday, June 3rd = Round 1 (4pm Pacific);
Saturday, June 4th = Rounds 2 & 3 (9am & 3pm Pacific);
Sunday, June 5th = Rounds 4 & 5 (9am & 3pm Pacific).
Prizes: lesson scholarship for each section winner; some ChessKid or Chess.com gear for all participants.
