Simul #2, Wednesday November 18th @ 3pm:  

Robert Shlyakhtenko (pictured) vs. Whittier High School in Room H-116 at WHS.

Result:  12 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws!

Best game prize:  Andrew Mendez 1585 (equal position after 27 moves).

 Robert Shlyakhtenko has been the #1-rated blitz player for his age (10) in the United States on multiple US Chess Federation lists.  He recently competed in an online tournament representing the United States against Hungary, winning both games.


Simul #1, Thursday November 5th @ 3pm:  

CM Joaquin Perkins vs. La Habra High School in the LHHS Library.

Result:  9 wins, 1 draw (with Moniel Flores).

FIDE Candidate Master Joaquin Perkins has won several national scholastic championships and represented the United States at the 2012 North American Youth Championships (gold medal) and 2012 World Youth Championships (=4th).
