Windows 7 was released today. This post is on how it relates to the game of chess.

Chess software can be customized to work on Windows 7 by software developers. Windows 7's generation of CPUs are multi-threaded, often with more than 4 cores (no thanks to AMD).

The included chess software in 7 is not very good in terms of strength, but it's appearance is excellent. The software is also included in Windows Vista.

Windows 7 also displays Chess.com pages quicker than XP on the same browser and internet connection.
