The Chess Tips that Change the Game
Chess is hard. You can admit that.
But it is based upon simple rules, principles that constrain you. Also, the opponent is constantly getting in your way; attacking your pieces, checking you, and they also are trying to win. Like you. You can't master chess. So much of it lies in the other player's hands. At the beginning, you have half the control. It depends what you do with it.
There are several elements that you have to take into account.
Number One: You. What are you doing? What is your plan? You should always think five moves ahead before making a big decision. Always. It might take some time, but you won't regret it.
Number Two: The Opponent. He is just as ready to beat you as you are. Be cautious. Base your moves off his wishes, moving out of trouble as soon as it moves in. Think while he does. Think like him.
Number Three: Your Clock. It is ticking, counting down, getting nearer to zero. It is a huge constraint. Consider your time to play, and play in the most accurate way possible without running out of time. It is important. Treat it likewise.
Number 4: Your Emotions. Don't let them get in the way of how you think. They make you blunder. Get them in check and get your game in check. In this game, I didn't let them control me. Instead, I controlled my opponent.
Nothing's special about this game. Just don't give up. Ever.
