"A new hand touches the beacon. Listen. Hear me and obey. A foul darkness has seeped into my temple. A darkness that you will destroy. Return my beacon to Mount Kilkreath. And I will make you the instrument of my cleansing light."

In the beginning, when the creation of the world was led by Lorkhan, he tricked other gods into investing their power into the creation. However, after realizing they had been deceived, many gods fled and abandoned the creation.

Magnus and his children also abandoned the world and returned to Aetherius, as they deemed investing their power not worth it. However, one of his children disagreed. She was proud of the creation. While she acknowledged the need for more light, she couldn't bear to spend eternity in the blinding whiteness of Aetherius.

She tore the mantle of Magnus and fled to the outer reaches of Oblivion, where she created her own prismatic realm. In this realm, white light could be separated into an array of colors beyond imagination. this comic occurrence is documented in the Exegesis of Merid-Nunda.

"...she formed of her substance a great drag-lens, and the light of Magnus was bent thereby. The rays [carved? focused?] a new sphere from the chaos, which Merid-Nunda, [laughing? sparkling?], did claim for her own."
"… thus does Merid-Nunda [ride? slide?] across the rainbow road from end to end, at one end stretching the Dragon, at the other end compressing him …."

She consorted with other Daedra, known as the Illicit Spectra. This led to her banishment from Aetherius, never to be allowed to return. Her realm, known as the Colored Rooms, is shrouded in mystery, with little known about this world. However, those who have caught glimpses of it describe it as they seem to resemble a cross between a coral reef and a vast field of floating stones, strewn with colorful trails of dust or cloud. The "ground" between the stones looks like luminescent water, but is solid enough to walk on. The skies are described as floating oceans of crimson

Her main artifact, the one that undoubtly hers and hers alone is called Dawnbreaker. This sword is imbued with the holy light of the Daedric Prince. Through her own sword, She has been known to aid mortals in conflict with other Daedric princes.

During the planemeld, She bestow her Dawnbreaker to the fighter guild. she also gave breton warrior named  Darien Gautier, Dawnbreaker in his fight against Mephala, Clavicus Vile and Nocturnal during The Triad's.

say what you will about her, claimed her to be benevolent and protective, But her unwise decision of allegiance led her to endorse the Ayleids, sending her Aurora's army to aid the Ayleids against human rebellion during the Nedes' uprising against the Ayleids.

She bestowed immortality upon the Ayleid king, Umaril, which ultimately led to the legendary battle with Pelinal Whitestrake. despite her intervention, ayleids lost the war, and Pelinal cast to oblivion.

She preach her love, but when she given to prove her love, she doesn't deliver. her dialogue with the last dragonborn prove this.

"Look at my temple, lying in ruins. So much for the constancy of mortals, their crafts and their hearts. If they love me not, how can my love reach them?"

She loves life, but also sought to control it like manipulative mother, and yes Her desire to possess all colors in the universe may make her greedy. She is the Lady of Infinite Energies, the Radiant One, and the Daedric Prince of Life and Energy. They call her Meridia.

"Reality is a game, mortal. Learn to play, or resign yourself to becoming one of the pieces that is meant to be sacrificed."
