Today, I'm going to teach you all how to play the KID. This is the GOAT opening for black after all.

We have four goals:

1. Fianchetto the Bishop

2. Castle King side

3. Strike at the King side

4. Push d6 if white played e4

Ok, to kick things off, we'll need to see what White played. If white played e4, we'll respond with d6.

Next, we'll play nf6.

If white played e5, this is actually a mistake. We'll play dxe5 . Here's how it goes.

As you can see, white just lost castle. We can make a trap here:

Ok, now we get the hang of it. Just make sure don't blunder and we win the game.

Next, what if black doesn't push e5 then?

If that happens, we'll just fianchetto the bishop, castle, pin the knight or if white didn't played that knight, just fianchetto the bishop on the other side. Also put the knight on d7.

See, this just make things easier. And it's solid too.

What if white doesn't push e4, instead d4?

We just skip the d6 and played normally. Push d6 if white plays e4.
