Analyzing Old Games #1
In this Blog I will be analyzing 2 old games that I played When I was around 800.
I will look into my mistakes and learn what I should’ve done as a Beginner.

I had many chances multiple times and I sometimes find them and miss them same goes for the opponent. Here is what I can suggest to my old-self as a beginner and to other beginners:
1. Be Patient and Analyze the Situation – Don’t rush but don’t be too slow, think carefully, analyze the situation and you should be fine.
2. Choose whether you will be a 1. e4 player or a 1. d4 player – When you’re a beginner you need to choose which opening you will want to start with and from there build up your opening repertoire. Once you start climbing up the ladder and reach a higher rating, then you can start doing a bit of both.
3. Don’t play Blitz nor Bullet and only Play Rapid – Play in Rapid so you are able to calmly think for the best move and analyze the situation. Don’t play a lot of games each day. Play at least 5 and then analyze them afterwards, see what you did wrong and what you did right.
I recommend watching GothamChess, I was able to get better and increase in rating because of him but there are also many other great chess channels out there.
Note: I am not a professional and that these are the things I have learned myself as a chess player. I still need to improve with these as well but this is just an analysis of my older games. Thanks for reading this I plan to make a bit more of this but that’s it for now. Bye!
