Hello and Welcome to my Second Blog! As the title suggest we will be analyzing my old games, two to be exact around 1000 in rating. This series of blogs aims to help beginners improve in chess and that's pretty much it. Let's get started.

Game# 1 is against an 1082 player. A close game that I could've won but lost in the end because of a mistake I made.

Game #2 is against a 1115 player.  Very nice game with some little inaccuracies, overall a great game!

The first game was very close, I had a chance to win but i ignored my opponent's threat and made a mistake which ultimately leaded to a loss. The second game was very nice and clean but there were a few inaccuracies but still a great game that ended in a win! Now here are some tips or things I learned while reviewing these games:

1. Addressing Threats - When checkmate or taking a valuable piece is being threatened by the opponent it is best to address it as quickly as possible. It doesn't always have to be immediately addressed but its overall better to just address as quickly as possible. This is something that should have been applied in the first game but I ignored it and took the rook and ended up losing my game.

2. Capturing Pieces - When capturing pieces or planning to take pieces off the board, remember to calculate it properly, as shown in the second game, my opponent lost a bishop because they miscalculated. So make sure to count the defenders of the piece when capturing, even until now I make this mistake but I do it less often. Good Calculation is also part of this but that itself is probably the hardest thing to master in chess, not even I am good at it but I am better at it than I once was before.

Note: I am not a professional and that these are the things I have learned myself as a chess player. I still need to improve with these as well but this is just an analysis of my older games. Thanks for reading this I plan to make a bit more of this but that’s it for now (I will also add this after every blog). Bye!
