Strategic Insights
- Defensive Interposition [Pawn]: An interposing move is a defensive tactic where a player places a piece in the line of action of an enemy piece that is attacking one of their own pieces or critical squares. This move blocks the direct attack on the target. In this case, moving the pawn to b5 serves as an interposing move, deflecting the attack of Black's Queen.
- Interference: Interference occurs due to Black's pawn at b5 which cuts the defensive contact between White's Knight and Queen as Knight was hanging, White has no chose left or else White going to lose Queen.
- Hanging Piece: White's Knight was hanging as White played Queen to a4, and it seemed like Black have to exchange Queen as Black's Queen was not guarded by someone, but that was wrong calculation by White.
- Unsound Sacrifice: A sacrifice made by the opponent on the false assumption that they will later get the material back and here It was White's queen, as White was expecting that Black would exchange his queen but that lead to loss of White's Knight.
- Gain of Tempo: Pawn to b5 creates a threat that requires the opponent to waste a move responding.
