One Year of Daily Puzzles

I've enjoyed playing chess but wanted to dive deeper into the intricacies of the game. Puzzles seemed like the perfect gateway. They offered bite-sized challenges that I could tackle every day, fitting seamlessly into my routine.
The first few weeks were crucial in establishing a habit. I set a specific time each day dedicated to solving the puzzles. Mornings, right after I woke up puzzle time. This consistency helped in making it a non-negotiable part of my day.
The daily puzzles ranged from simple tactics to complex endgames, providing a comprehensive workout for my brain. Like any journey, there were plateaus. Some days, I would struggle with puzzles that seemed impossible. These moments taught me patience and persistence.
Chess.com offers insightful statistics that allowed me to track my progress. My puzzle rating gradually climbed, reflecting the improvements in my tactical skills. I started noticing patterns and could solve puzzles more quickly and accurately. This tangible progress has been motivating. It hasn't turned into a huge rating increase in my games but it has helped me in seeing some common patterns. I'm still very much a novice at this game but I enjoy getting to solve the puzzle or watching the video when I can't seem to figure it out.
