Today I did my tactics (7 of 10 correct that I worked on alone.... 6 of 8 that I worked on with my chess club students at school). There were several of my tactics today that involved sacrificing material for a mating attack. This was my favorite.

I played a game last night that I lost. I made a few mistakes, but I didn't feel comfortable for most of the game because the position was new to me. Annotations are included below:

I was also able to play a game during chess club today. One of my students gave a good fight, but allowed me to win an exchange and then the game fell apart for him there.

On a lighter side, at club today we tried Bughouse for the first time. it was a wild ride.
