The defensive wall crumbles

Oct 31, 2012, 12:04 AM 3

In this game Black apparently decided around move 24 that the great adeeel was simply beyond his attacking capabilities, and proceeded to surround his king with all his minor pieces. It was a defensive display reminiscent of Chelsea FC in the Champions league of 2011-12, but adeeel was not to be deterred as easily as FC Barcelona or FC Bayern München. White simply redirected his attack to the queenside, which was completely neglected by Black, and established his superiority there. In fact, after some imprecise calculations on the part of black after which he basically eliminated two of the defenders of his own king, white ended up queening on the b-file and Black quickly resigned. If only Barcelona had a tactician like me.
