Hitting 2000 — And Then Something Changed
Reaching 2000 blitz rating on Chess.com felt great. As a player who's grinded thousands of games and studied deeply, this milestone marked real progress.

But not long after that, I noticed something strange:

Unnatural move accuracy
Inhuman defense in lost positions
Players rated 2200–2350 who never blunder
It didn’t happen every game. But often enough that it became noticeable.

🤖 Are There Actually More Cheaters After 2000?
From my personal experience — yes, slightly more. But why?

1. Stronger Opponents, Higher Stakes
At 2300+, games are competitive. Some players, unfortunately, resort to engines to "hold" rating or climb faster.

2. Engine Users Smurf or Farm Here
Players with banned accounts often start new ones and fly under the radar around 2100–2400. This makes mid-high blitz ratings a common target.

3. Cheaters Are Subtle Now
They don’t play perfect engine lines. They blend just enough engine moves to win close games and dodge detection. That’s what makes it more frustrating — you’re left wondering, not certain.

The Frustration Is Real
As someone who's worked hard to reach this level — grinding for hours, analyzing my games, studying openings and endgames — it's frustrating to sit down for a serious blitz session and feel like you're playing against a ghost.

Sometimes I finish a game and think:

"Did I really get outplayed... or was that a bot in disguise?"
That uncertainty eats away at the joy of competition. Not because I can't accept a loss — I’ve lost to plenty of better players — but because it feels like the rules aren’t the same for everyone.

It's draining.

You start second-guessing your opponents, your preparation, and even your own instincts. And when you do report someone, the waiting game begins: Will Chess.com confirm it? Will I get my rating back? Did they catch the right person?
