In this article, you will learn some of the greatest chess games of all time from players such as Bobby Ficher or Garry Kasparov. So let's get started:

Number 10: Edward Lasker vs George A. Thomas

If you look at this game say it's not insane, then your crazy or you have never seen the chess pieces move before. This was a masterpiece. Lasker sacked his queen and just went after the king The king just kept on walking and moving while the other pieces pushed him around till mate, which was a king move mate, amazing. The final position is unreal! Next game.
Number 9: Nigel Short vs Jan Timman.
The last five moves of this game were unbelievable, the brilliant king walk, it was an original idea by Nigel Short that had never bees played before. With lots of material still on the board walking your king to the end. Correct walk with strut, the king came there so confidently to kiss his wife and put the king in a dumpster. The only reason this game isn't that number 1 is because the rest of the game was normal. Good play by Short but nothing happened.
Number 8: Ding Liren vs Jinshi Bai
Liren sacked his queen and just put the win in the bag. Absolutely destroyed the Black king and won the game. This honestly is one of the most underrated games of all time the way Liren played was just nasty.
Number 7 Bobby Ficher vs Donald Byrne
This game was incredible by Ficher though overrated. Ficher displays master calculation throughout the game but Byrne isn't very famous. Plus Byrne didn't play that well in this game and Ficher just showed off his skills.
Number 6: Artur Yusopov vs Vassily Ivanchuck
This is an absurd game. This game broke the engine, while the engine says black is losing, they are actually winning, and it is almost impossible to defend. Black to give up the queen to stop Qh1+ kand the knight coming in for mate on h2, by sacking their own queen but in the end it wasn't enough.
Number 5:
I didn't want to put this game so at five, I thought it was much higher. But the way Morphy's opponents played was so awful, a ten year old could see that mate queen sac mate. It was just such an ugly game and so, so quick.
Before I go to number four, I just want to say that next few games are basically all tied up, so of them might not be the games you think will be up here, but believe me there amazing. Number one was a tough choice so I will right now that every game left is amazing and the next one is so good there's no comment. Just  bask in it's awesomeness.
Number 4: Alexander McDonnell and Louis Charles Mahe De La Bourdonnais (what a name)
Number 3: Anand vs Aronian
This game makes no sense but apparently according to Stockfish, Leela, Komodo, and AlpaZero Anand is brilliant genius. Coming up with moves no one sees. It is pure genius. I'm not good enough at chess to explain what happened in this game.
Now I think there are four games that I haven't be said that can be number 1, Karpov vs Kasparov 1986, Kasparov vs Topalov, Geller vs Euwe, and Rubistein Rotlewi.
Number 2:
Kasparov

vs

...

Karpov

Sike, that game was overrated the real game was Kasporav vs Topalov.

Kasparov displayed such tactical genius, it is a great game that displayed pure genius, but what I want in a chess game is a vicous attack that leads to checkamate not some boring endgame which is why the number one game goes to ... Akiba Rubinstein when he defeats Rotweli.

Game 1: Rubinstein vs Rotweli.

This game is my all time favorite because Rubinstein who doesn't get a lot of respect in the chess world puts up a beautiful tactical sequence, which lead to immediate checkmate or resignation. I would also like to say that this was written in 2022 and if any other games come out that are more amazing, I have already seen them but they are not on the list. Hope you enjoyed this thank you.
