So I decided what better way to get out my chess related stress than to blog it. Having said so, it's been 3 consecutive nights that I have had dreams in chess! Not necessarily dreams about chess, but dreams "in" chess. What I mean by this is in my dreams I have had scenes play out that reflect as if I'm making decisions that equate to a chess move. (i.e. In a dream I may want to go to the grocery store, well that may equate to an opening move where I actually see a chess board and a piece move....then I may decide to go down the produce section, well now we have a counter attack on the board...) see what I mean? If not, the best way for me to explain it is for anyone who may have seen the Harry Potter movie where Harry and his peers had to become pieces on a chess board in order to get to their next destination. Well, it's not that violent in my dreams but it's strange to say the least. In any event the problem is I cannot sleep! I know that this is mainly fueled by my competetive nature and the fact that my boyfriend is seriously causing me to do some serious studying so that I can beat him. My drive to get better now has lead me to stay up to the wee hours of the a.m. on not only this site but others as well trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. Madness I tell you madness! In one respect I am grateful for him because I'm learning alot and have found excellent resources....now if I can only stop dreaming in CHESS!!
