Opening Theory Arena #2
Hey! I hope this blog post finds you well! I'll be quick about it, not to take up too much of your time: I would like to host an arena today in a sharp opening. As some of you might already know about me, I am lacking opening knowledge and have been meaning to improve that for a long time. A great way to make studying more exciting would be these blitz arenas where we only play one opening, prepare a bit beforehand, and review the games after. We did host one a year ago when I created my club but gave up on the idea for a while since finding players wasn't an easy task. I have 3 suggestions for you this time:
-
Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation, English Attack Main Line (as seen in the picture)
-
King's Indian Defense: Orthodox Variation
-
Jobava London with g6 (since it is so popular nowadays)
I will post these in the comments below; upvote the comment if you would like to play it. I'm also open to other opening suggestions, especially if they lead to sharp, tactical games.
Time control 3+1? Unrated.
Update with link to the arena later, if we have enough players in 2 hours, so about 10pm CEST / 4pm ET. Hope to see you there!
