It was another peaceful day in Hateno Village until Zelda's sudden scream shattered the peace,  prompting Link to ready his sword. "Princess! What's the matter?" Link exclaimed as he hurried to her side. Zelda blushed and said, "Oh, oops, I just found a key under the
floorboards."Realizing that the princess was unharmed, Link sheathed his sword and
chuckled. "Princess, you need to stop scaring me like that," he said with a playful smile. Zelda's smile returned as she explained,
"I couldn't help it! It's so exciting to find a key. I wonder what it opens." Link grinned.
"Well, let's go find out then!"
A few months ago, Link had defeated the Calamity, freeing Zelda from the prison of malice where she had been trapped. Since then, Zelda had moved into Link's house in Hateno. He couldn't help but smile as he watched her now—she seemed so much happier than in his memories, which, admittedly, were not much. “Liiink, stop daydreaming and help me find what
this key unlocks!” Zelda's impatient voice snapped him back to reality.“Princess, why were you even prying up the floorboards?”
“I was bored, okay? I found it under the bed,” she replied.“Is there anywhere around here that you can't open?” Zelda asked. Link thought for a moment before answering, “Well, there's an old storage shed outside the house. I’ve never been able to open it. Not even Bolson knows what’s in—”Before he could finish his sentence, Zelda was already sprinting towards the door and running to the old storage shed. Link quickly followed her and arrived just in time
to hear the creaking of an old door. “Geez, this place sure is dusty,” exclaimed Zelda as she sneezed, waving a hand in front of her face to clear the air. As the dust settled, their eyes adjusted to the dim light inside the shed, revealing a treasure trove of forgotten items. In one corner stood a set of royal guard armor, still gleaming despite the years. Nearby, bundles of dried blue nightshades lay neatly tied, their vibrant color only slightly faded. Numerous boxes were stacked against the walls, some marked with the Hyrule crest, hinting at their regal contents. Zelda moved deeper into the shed, uncovering a training sword that looked well-used but cared for, and next to it, a pristine royal guard's broadsword that seemed almost out of place in the dusty room. As they explored further, they found a photo of a family: a smiling father who looked like a blacksmith, a cute boy about ten years old who bore an eerie resemblance to Link, and a little girl about five years old holding a cucco, her face lit up
with joy.Link picked up the photo, studying it closely. "This boy... he looks just like me," he murmured. Zelda peered over his shoulder, her curiosity piqued. "Who do you think they are?" she asked softly.  Link shook his head, "I’m not sure, but I feel like I know these people." Opening one of the boxes, Link was shocked to find it filled with diaries, all neatly stacked on top of each other. He was about to read one when Zelda interrupted him."Link, come help me bring the boxes back to the house! We'll look through everything later." "Of course, Princess," he replied. Lifting one of the boxes, Link was surprised to find it was quite heavy. I wonder what else is inside, he thought to himself as he carried the boxes back to the house. The weight of the box made him even more curious about the secrets it might hold. Once inside, they set the boxes down and
exchanged a look of excitement and anticipation. "Let's start with these diaries," Zelda suggested, brushing some dust off the cover of the top one. "They might tell us who these people were." Link nodded in agreement, feeling a strange connection to the mysterious family in the
photograph. As they prepared to delve into the past.

Dear diary,
Today, our teacher said we have to write in a
diary. So, I'm gonna tell you about my day!
I'm Link, and I'm almost 4 years old.
Daddy took me to see the knights training today!
They were so brave and strong, swinging their
swords and riding horses really fast. I wanna be
like them when I grow up!
But the funniest thing happened! I found a
frog hopping around in the field. I thought i
t might taste yummy, so I put it in my mouth.
But eww, it tasted really gross and kept jumping
around, so I had to spit it out. Silly frog!
Anyway, I gotta go eat dinner now. Bye-bye!
