New Feature Announcement (not really)
One step closer to a true over-the-board experience. It's flipping fantastic![EDIT] April fools! But we're leaving the board flip as a hidden surprise (shift+f only).
Chess is often thought to be a game for the composed scholar, a playground for masterminds, the ultimate judge of brilliancy, where we can elegantly settle our disputes.
This is pure spectacle. We all know that in reality, beneath the surface only troubled by the metronomical ticking sound of clocks, often rage two fast-paced hearts, cursing at each other, threatening, relishing for treatments that would make Sade proud.
And, sometimes, the Game is not fair. The outcome is not what it should be. The mind is not enough, and needs help from the sword arm to conquer the 64-square battlefield.
To help you triumph, Lichess is glad to announce its upcoming feature "Flipping board" button, for when you absolutely have to... (or just feel like making a mess!).
