"On a scale of 1 to 5, how likely are you to refer others to use Microsoft Teams?"

"Would you like to provide feedback on what made you choose this score?"

Microsoft Teams is the worst collaboration platform I have ever used.  The channels I collaborate in are grouped into two different UI categories for no apparent reason, apparently to segregate the differences between a chat channel and a workgroup team channel which is unnecessary.  It should be up to the user to group channels they are working in based on their organizational preferences, especially when multiple on-going projects are involved.  It is very difficult to find and share files.  It is usually several clicks deep in a dropdown, and this hierarchy changes when moving to a general chat or a different collaboration category for a teams chat.  That being said, I would rather revert to using Outlook email and email attachments in a group thread with coworkers on projects that are in flight than use Microsoft Teams software.  The user interface is not user intuitive like other collaboration platforms, namely Slack.  If I could delete it from my work computer, I would in a heartbeat."

- Microsoft Teams Survey

Listen.  I have former colleagues who work at Microsoft and in the Microsoft Partner ecosystem. Even they have criticized it's functionality to me.  The platform is simply the armpit of collaboration software in today's tech world.  The software does not deserve, nor does it have the right, to belong in Apple's App Store in the category of productivity tools.  I don't know why this software is so popular in corporate America, but whoever leads the Microsoft Teams development team should be fired from Microsoft immediately.  And, Microsoft should be sued for the increased lack of productivity it is costing companies around the world for it 10 times over.  And also, while I'm at it, there should be a class-action lawsuit put together to penalize Microsoft for all the punitive damages it causes (for employees like me) who are forced to use the software by their parent company.  Whoever the Microsoft sales rep is for this software must be a top performer because my leadership team took that bait and signed a multi-year contract for it for God knows how long...

If you read this far, thank you.  My rant is over.  Time to play a quick game of chess.
