Technique is important
This game was played in the third round, of the local neighborhood tournament. My opponent was a friend of mine from my student years at Patra. The game was very interesting. I analyzed it for 2 days with 2 engines and i found very interesting results that helped better understand technical positions. I won the game because of a big mistake of my opponent during time pressure. The position was an equal one with rooks and opposite bishops. Such positions usually are lost because of grave mistakes. This of course can happen even on the higher level of competition as happened today in Tata Steel in Carlsen vs Matlakov
