Chess.com's secret player, part 1.

Chess.com is a good platform for watching games. They're neatly sorted in the live chess section, ready to be seen. So you'd think with the number of players, the system would be pretty transparent. The better players are at the top, and you watch their games.

But what if this wasn't the case? Today, I'm going to tell you a story of how a untitled 3000 rated player goes almost totally unnoticed. This player plays very frequently and has even beat Eric Hansen on stream, but still only has 800 views.

This should be utterly impossible. But it's true. The player @Beijing2017 is in my opinion one of the best players on chess.com, but almost no one has seen him play. For example, let's analyse the Eric Hansen game.

This game was a 3 minute blitz game, and it's shocking how accurate it is. Let's look at another game, this time against a player whose account was later closed for fair play reasons.

Stay tuned for part 2, and, as always, let me know what you think in the comments. Goodbye!
