What a chess puzzle should be.

It's rare today that a good puzzle shows up anywhere. Even books by grandmasters rarely have them. These puzzles tend to be good, and instructive, but they're missing something. For example, here's a puzzle.

This is a puzzle I composed. I see puzzles like this all of the time in the forums. So what's wrong with this puzzle? Why is it bad? Well, it should be like this:
See the difference? In one puzzle, the moves are explained and alternate lines are given, while in the other, they're not. I see way too many puzzles with the first format, specifically in the "More Puzzles" section of the forums. The daily puzzles also use it.

One final thing that bugs me is when people put a blank board instead of a solution. I understand that they don't want to spoil the solution, but it comes off as lazy. I'm thinking right now of a specific member, that I'm sure you've come across.
Well, that's it for today. Goodbye, everybody!
