Bullet 1000!

Finally! I never actually expected to be here today writing this blog! 1000 bullet rating is finally here now, and today here we are! 1000 bullet rating has been a huge toil, and I'm going to share my bullet journey.

December 2020

I started playing bullet in the month I created my account on chess.com. I've been going through the archives of my first ever games, and it's rather funny of how it was being an absolute beginner. Since my moves(white) were rather funny, check out the game below:

January 2021

Ah, my losses at the start of January were painful. I was tilting badly from hyperbullet games, and by midway of January I was rated 322-I had dropped 52 points since Dec.31st.

And then, out of nowhere, my wins were coming. Rating refunds from cheaters whose accounts were closed, wins against players at least 100 points more than my rating, draws scrapped out just about, and some nice checkmates. 

Now, I stopped playing hyperbullet after the horrid tilt and was playing 1I0 games. My rated ended up being 631 🤯!

February 2021

I was mainly just playing 1I0 bullet and 10 second chess. Halfway through the month(Feb 14th), I was 760 in bullet. I started losing to cheaters(I never got rating refunds) and then ended the month on a win, against @Mikeyhughes, and that was pretty much it.

The highlight of the month, however, had to be my checkmate in a 30 second game. I'd always thought hyperbullet and ultrabullet was for flagging, but to be honest, I put in everything to try and checkmate. I won the game, and you can check the game below(I was black):

March 2021

Seeing my archives again, I've realised that I only played 42 bullet games in the whole of March-that's nearly 1/8th of the total 313 bullet games played in January. March was a relatively successful month; I won 25 of the 42 games I played then.

April 2021

OK, here comes the rather tough part. I'd actually been stuck at 900 for 5 months before yesterday, when I got bullet 1000.

I played 105 bullet games in March-of which I won 57.

By the first half of April, not only was my bullet soaring, but my rapid was also rocketing. It was rather like it was a fight between whether rapid or bullet would reach 1000 first.

I was rated 855 on 15th April 2021-but here comes the best bit-I was rated 918 bullet on 28th April 2021, and that was the day I beat a 2070 in bullet. The game is below(I was white):

May 2021

I played 176 bullet games in May, and it was in that month when I was really feeling that I would get bullet 1000. Again, this month, I played my second best game ever where I beat a 2050 in bullet (I was black):

After that, it was really tilting up and down. I ended the month on 953, and that was pretty much all May was about.

June 2021

It was really in June when I felt tilting so badly. I was rated 991 at one point, and I tilted right down to 910. It was at this point I went right back 960, and right down to 920. I was seriously considering quitting bullet, having spent 2 months attempting this. My best game of June is below(I'm white):

July 2021

I couldn't believe what was happening. I played 53 bullet games, and I tilted from 922 all the way down in the 800s to 858. My blitz chess rating was rocketing too, and I was more focussed on improving that. I reached blitz 700, and my best game in July was against my 1150 rated friend @HushedFalconSr. I'm white, the game is below:

August 2021

I only played 30 bullet games in August-that's less than one a day. August was very barren, only improving my bullet by +8. My best game of August is below, I'm black :

September 2021

The month hasn't even completed! It's only been 4 days, but these 4 days have been so important. I've played 24 games so far, and for now, I'm retiring in bullet to grind blitz and rapid.

September 1st got me from 915 to 945; September 2nd got me from 946 to 977, and I got to 1002 on the 3rd!
