Secret Achievements On Chess.Com-Part 2!

Hello and welcome to aviation18's chess corner! This is instalment 2 to a series I'll be writing on the blog on secret achievements on the blog. Let's get into it!

Puzzle Achievements

Puzzles are great ways to help you improve at chess. The main puzzle achievements, such as the correctly solved 1000 puzzles achievements etc., and the 100 puzzles in a day(available only to platinum) are available to be seen on your achievement page. There are, however, three hidden achievements relating to puzzles-them being:

-Hot Streak-Get 10 puzzles right in a row-not in puzzle battles or puzzle rush-just in chess.com/puzzles

-Good habit-Do at least 1 puzzle every day of a week

-Full Day-The instructions of this achievement are slightly meddled. You don't need to sit and do puzzles non stop for 24 hours(that would be crazy?!), chess.com counts how much time you do puzzles. You can view how much time you have spent doing puzzles in your puzzle stats.

Game Achievements

These hidden achievements can be obtained by playing in a certain style in games-

-Killer King-Deliver checkmate with a king-This can be done by delivering a discovered check 

An example of a killer king game would be:

-Full House-Win a game without losing any pieces-Perhaps try playing a 100 rated player and win without losing pieces!

-Juggler-Play twenty daily games at once! Maybe try playing in a lot of daily tournaments at once-I'd recommend having a time control of 14 days, in case too many games and time pressure stresses you!

-Chess Marathon-Play a game with more than 100 moves! A good idea might be to delay checkmate-just beware of the 50 move rule
