The Halloween Gambit Itself

The game begins wit the standard e4, e5, and we get into the four knights game with all the knights developed. However, one of white's knights jumps straight into the action and takes the pawn on e5. Isn't that a blunder? Can't the nc5 knight take it? Of course it can! Here is why the opening is used:

The opening is named rather appropriately comparing the shock of a Halloween costume with the shock of the 4 knights opening being shattered.
