The Main Chat

Most everyone on loves playing live chess. It makes us feel like we are playing with chess players from all over the world, right on a chess board in our own living room. We can learn, play, and make friends. The downfall: The main chat. Don't get me wrong. I like using the main chat to challenge my friends and get a game going. It is nice to see who is on and who isn't. Great to talk to all your friends and just chat; however, there are many people who abuse such a right in that main chat. Of course the mods help improve it, and I thank them for that, but let's be honest. They miss things. That's only human, and they can't be around to watch the main chat all the time. When unwatched, the main chat can become a living nightmare. The things some people will talk about. Even when the mods are there, people still offend others with there nastly language, or they keep harassing them. Sure they do eventually get muted or banned, but if the person they harassed had a rough life, it isn't going to take much to push them over the edge.

So in conclusion, I would like to say I love the main chat. It is a great thing. We do, however, need to watch it a bit more. I know the mods do their best, and I thank them for that. Keep it up, but the mods alone aren't helping enough. SOmething must be done, but what...?
