When I think about chess, I tend to think about corned beef sandwiches. I remember this one time in Pendleton, Oregon, I wasn't playing chess, but I was eating a corned beef sandwich and thought how a game of chess would've been nice. I didn't play any chess that summer, as I was more into cycling. I once had this great idea to make my own front pannier bags out of leather. My plan was to purchase some scrap leather from this old, legit cowboy fellow who owned and operated a leather shop. I eventually purchased some fine leather, but never made the bags, as I opted instead for nylon.
