Underprivileged Team in Need

If you love to see chess fanaticism spread like wildfire... Please consider donating to the wildly successful, Wingfield High School Chess Team, and watch your charity MULTIPLY!
Though I urge you to read through our team history in blog posts linked here (https://www.chess.com/blog/beth_thrasher)... In short, we are a high school team in Mississippi comprised of under-served kids living in impoverished neighborhoods. In the one year since our inception we've seen a love of chess open doors never before thought possible! But we need help to continue this wave of success...
Our teens struggle to meet some of the most basic needs most of us take for granted. Despite the weights on their shoulders, twice a week the Wingfield Chess Team selflessly volunteers to share their talent and knowledge on the 64 squares with elementary kids across town.
Team funds are low... but tournament season is in full swing. Next week we travel to The University of Mississippi ("Ole Miss"), then Hattiesburg...and on to Mississippi State University for the TEAM SCHOLASTIC CHAMPIONSHIPS!
After food, gas and entry fees, it costs about $40 PER STUDENT to travel to a chess tournament, but the school district provides NO FUNDING for our team. Our ENTIRE budget is from donations & fundraisers.
If you'd be willing to sponsor a Wingfield H.S. chess player, please visit our PayPal: email@example.com
With your donations, our chess players won't just compete, but they will continue to "pay it forward" by volunteering AND vowing to become better versions of themselves, always looking to make the best moves in life!
We thank you in advance for being "a part of the change you wish to see in world."
