Knockout!

Sometimes, when you are playing a game of chess, you are feeling confident - almost smugly so.  You are up material, your opponent is frantically trying to kill you but you are invincible!  Then, just one move later, you are knocked out and thinking that some days it don't pay to get out of bed.

 

I played such a game yesterday with my big sister Pocahontas.  She plays a similar style of chess to mine - very aggressive and will take risks because they are fun.  It was the first time in a while we got to sit down and play, and she absolutely squished me in under 20 moves.  I think you will enjoy this picture of what happens when I try to defend myself.
