Online Games - Analysis

So since yesterday I've been playing a few games over on that other site and while there's been some awesome wins there's been tragic losses too so this blog is to highlight the games themselves to get some feedback from you awesome people.

You will see that I'm not playing my standard Smith Morra and, actually, d3 was a misclick which turned out very nicely for me.

This next game I resigned in disgust after yet another misclick where I had planned to play Qf2+ but took his pawn instead...

Needless to say I was pretty peeved at that. 

This next game is just simply my being greedy and it cost me the game but all credit to my opponent he kept his cool to finish me off.

Serves me completely right but ah well. You win some you lose some....

And win is what I did next against such an amazing lady 

I thought I was pretty well done for but a miscalculation on her part led to mate. Great sport she is though. ❤

And the next game ... a friend from off this site and I met him over on there too so we played and once he figured mate was next did the sporting thing and resigned.

You will notice that it is the dreaded alapin variation of sicilian defence but my previous studies paid off as I managed to find a way to win. 

Last game of the tournament and I lost against an amazing player who gave some excellent feedback. 

My friend has pointed out that I could have actually beat him but I missed a tactic... can you spot it?

Then tonight I played in 2 live matches and, despite losing my queen in game 1, I still managed to find a win using bishop knight and rook.

I have been trying to find wins against the French and seems like my (little bit of) study has paid off. 

The second game was very scrappy in that there were lots of missed chances but still managed to find the win anyway.
