Giving the Master a break
I came into my round 1 game with the attitude I can't be beat. Then I saw the round 1 pairing was vs the only Master in the section.
No problem it's time to make a statement and rise back to my glory using my 3 step plan
- Get him into an under analyzed position that is comfortable for me but has little risk.
- Improve all minor pieces while making threats.
- Grind him down.
Well step 1 was a semi-success because we got into the well analyzed Dragon but the move-order made it definitely a sideline where both sides have chances to play active of for a draw.
Step 2 was a success all my minor pieces was making threats and fighting for active squares
Step three fail. I just hung a rook and lost a winning position after fighting from what the engine calls a -2 disadvantage.
To truly enjoy this game do three things.
- Throw your engine out of the window (this game was played by two humans)
- Read my crazy thoughts.
