WTA 1000 João Fonseca x Alex de Minaur
Alex de Minaur, number 11 in the world, won against the 18-year-old Brazilian João Fonseca.
I watched the entire match on TV, and I've read some articles that say that the Brazilian fans were rude and disrespectful.
But I see it differently. Brazilians are very used to chaos, football, and it seemed like at least part of the fans wanted to win by shouting at the Miami Open, and it may seem that way, but in my opinion, Brazilians have practically no contact with tennis. And yes, I say that such shameful behavior is due to ignorance, in the sense that in all sports they behave like this, shouting, singing loudly. I've watched GUGA when he was number 1 in the world and I know that you should be quiet both when you serve and when you serve your opponent, and you even have the right to celebrate louder at the end of a set and of course at the end of the match. I've never been able to go see a high-level tennis match, and no one I know has either, and I guarantee that 99% of Brazilians barely know the rules, and why the score in tennis starts at 15, then goes to 30 and then 40, and that the person who serves has the right to miss the first one and things like that...

But I understand, and on behalf of the Brazilians I apologize for any "lack of respect and education" towards others and congratulations to Alex de Minaur, and I hope João Fonseca improves, in fact I think the opposite, losing was good for João, every defeat teaches you more than in victories.
With much to all the fans and to the Australians.
