FULLY updated UCC Showdown Event RULES!
United Chess Competitions Showdown is an individual event.
UCC Showdown lasts four weeks and will run from July 4th(Monday) to August 7th(Sunday). There is a planned break between Week 2 and Week 3.
Firstly, we need to list some things that are similar for all four Weeks.
Three Multi-Club Arenas(same time control and duration) for Asia, Europe, North and South America will happen in the "United Chess Competitions Showdown Event club".
Here's the schedule:
Friday, 10:30 am UTC. Asia Arena. Time control: 3+0. Duration: 1 hour.
Saturday, 3 pm UTC. Europe Arena. Time control: 3+0. Duration: 1 hour.
Sunday, 7 pm UTC. North&South America Arena. Time control: 3+0. Duration: 1 hour.
You can participate in any number of Arenas. But you will score Rating Points(more about our Rating system later in the document) only in the Arena with the best result. For example, you scored 15 points in the Asia Arena, missed the Europe Arena, and scored 16 points in the North&South America Arena. 15 points scored in the Asia Arena(15 is less than 16) will be ignored and DEDUCTED from your club's score in the Asia Arena.
However, as a participant, you don't need to worry about this - just join the event, invite any clubs you want, and have fun!
Although it would be better if you play for only one club throughout the Event, you won't be disqualified if you join the Arena for a different club. It's your choice!
With that said, let's look at each week more closely.
Week 1.
Here, participants should try to be in the top 32 by the end of the Arena. These players will stay in Leg 1(at least for now😈)! Other participants of Week 1 Arena and people who want to enter the event after Week 1 will compete in Leg 2 next week.
Week 2.
In Leg 1, only 16 players will continue to fight in the Leg 1 next week. Others will be demoted to Leg 3, as well as players, who didn't manage to stay in the top 32 in the Leg 2 Arena. Leg 3 is open for everyone, who still wants to join the event.
WE ARE AT THIS STAGE OF THE EVENT RIGHT NOW!
Week 3.
Week 3 will happen from July 29th to July 31st. The top 8 runners in Leg 1 will stay there for one final week, the top 16 - in Leg 2, and the top 32 - in Leg 3. Everyone else will find themselves in Leg 4.
Week 4.
Eight Leg 1, sixteen Leg 2, and thirty-two Leg 3 players will determine the Leg 1, 2, and 3 champions! Leg 4 will be opened for everyone!
Details
1) Demotion will be done AFTER all three Arenas. After I update our Rating, the top 8, 16, or 32 players(DETERMINED BY RATING!!) will stay in Leg 1, Leg 2, or Leg 3(based on the rules and current Week).
2) There will be ONE Arena for all the Legs. But the winners will be determined for each Leg independently.
For example, Arena results look like this:
1st place - Leg 1 Player(player A).
2nd place - Leg 1 Player(player B).
3rd place - Leg 2 Player(player C).
4th place - Leg 1 Player(player D).
5th place - Leg 3 Player(player E).
6th place - Leg 2 Player(player F).
7th place - Leg 3 Player(Player G)
8th place - Leg 2 Player(player H).
9th place - Leg 3 Player(Player I)
....
Here:
player A will receive his 3 points bonus for first place in Leg 1 "Standings";
player B - 2 points bonus for second place in Leg 1 "Standings";
player C - 3 points bonus for first place in Leg 2 "Standings";
player D - 1 point bonus for third place in Leg 1 "Standings";
player E - 3 points bonus for first place in Leg 3 "Standings";
player F - 2 points bonus for second place in Leg 2 "Standings";
player G - 2 points bonus for second place in Leg 3 "Standings";
player H - 1 point bonus for third place in Leg 2 "Standings";
player I - 1 point bonus for the third place in Leg 3 "Standings".
Again, you don't need to worry about all this stuff, I'm just explaining to you how this Event works.
Clubs will receive rating points for overall standings(points scored by all their players will be summed up and added to the Rating).
We talked about the UCC Showdown structure, now let's see how the winners will be determined.
Although last week's Arena winners will receive special trophies, the real prizes will be given to the top three finishers in our Rating. However, as this is a free event, do not expect anything big) After all, you'll have lots of fun while playing in the UCC Showdown!
Clubs can earn Rating Points, too! Here, the "Players in the Arena" Bonus replaces the Leg Bonus! 1 Player=1 bonus point. Bring more participants!

As you can see, there are four different Ratings: Overall Rating, Leg 1 Rating, Leg 2 Rating, Leg 3 Rating, Leg 4 Rating, and Clubs Rating. As a result, there are different prizes in these Ratings.
OVERALL STANDINGS:
1) Participants' Clubs Prizes.
Club of the 1st place finisher(for which he played in the Week 1 Arena) - 25 members BOOST.
Club of the 2nd place finisher(for which he played in the Week 1 Arena) - 20 members BOOST.
Club of the 3rd place finisher(for which he played in the Week 1 Arena) - 15 members BOOST.
2) Club Rating Prizes.
1st place - Advertisement in my blog with any description&links.
2nd place - Advertisement in my blog with any description and five different links.
3rd place - Advertisement in my blog with any description and three different links.
4th place - Advertisement in my blog with <50 words description and one link.
5th place - Advertisement in my blog with <50 words description and no links.
3) Individual Prizes.
1st place - trophy "Overall Standings 1st place" + advertisement in the United Chess Competitions Official Club(news thread with any links he wants).
2nd place - trophy "Overall Standings 2nd place" + advertisement in the United Chess Competitions Official Club(news thread with any links he wants).
3rd place - trophy "Overall Standings 3rd place" + advertisement in the United Chess Competitions Official Club(news thread with any links he wants).
The top three players' names will stay on the main page of the UCC Official Club on Chess.com!
Legs' Ratings:
1) Leg 1 Winner - "Leg 1 Rating Winner" + tournament in his honor.
2) Leg 2 Winner - "Leg 2 Rating Winner" + tournament in his honor.
3) Leg 3 Winner - "Leg 3 Rating Winner".
4) Leg 4 Winner - "Leg 4 Rating Winner".
These four people will also stay on the main page of our club!
ATTENTION: Both clubs and players cannot win multiple prizes! If, for example, the 1st place finisher already has a prize, it will be passed to the 2nd place finisher(and so on).
