Girls in Chess

Ever stop to wonder, 'Where are the girls?' or 'Why aren't there that many or no girls on my level?' It's because of motivation. Boys are encouraged to play chess way more than girls, and that is making a difference on the female chess players in the world. One sad fact, girls can't play for the world champion. They have to play for the women's world championship. Men think they're so much better than women because there are so little. Well, that is a stupid, rude statement. You make fun of girls because there and almost none up at your level. Because there were only so few to start out with! Most girls drop out of chess and pursue others things. That is fine, I have nothing against that, but the only problem with that choice is, now there are even fewer girls playing chess.

Girls out there reading this, try to pursue chess, and other things. And do not, ever, let anyone tell you otherwise. Don't let them tell you it's because you are a 'girl'. Don't be judged by your gender, but by who you are. Get out there, be passionate about what you do, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
