     Today I will talk about the opening and where the peices start at.  The king always starts on the E file, with the queen on the D file(her own color (blue is black) view diagram below
     As you see here, this is how you are supposed to place your peices when you start playing chess.  Your eight pawns should be on the seconed rank from the one closest to.  the ranks should be numbered 1-8 for white (8-1 for black)
     To experienced chess.com users: I am sorry that I am starting easy.  Concider theese posts review as I work up to the advanced stuff
