Every chess player knows that the queen is without a second thought the most dominant piece in chess, but surprisingly very few chess players know the fact that the game of chess actually existed for five hundred years without her. This is called “Queen on color”. Queen is the most powerful piece in the game of chess. It is able to move any number of squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally. The most powerful position for a queen is when the enemy king is in an open or undefended position. The queen can then execute a check.
